Dear Luke, please let me know – is this enough to get by in Chongqing?
Hi, David, I haven’t lived in Chongqing, so I can’t speak for the cost of living there. In Beijing, I wouldn’t like to live on 4,500/month; on the other hand, in Changchun I was able to live very well on ¥5,500, saving ¥2,000/month. You might want to find a site dedicated to Chongqing and ask there about cost of living.
With that being said, there are some good things about the job posted above: few work hours and lots of vacation time. The fewer hours you have to work in your primary job, the more time you can spend in outside work, which pays better.
Cheers and good luck!
